Our Editors Handpicked the Best Runway Looks From London Fashion Week
As S/S 20 fashion month carries on, it's London's turn to give us a lot to look forward to come spring. London Fashion Week features highly anticipated designer collections by the likes of Victoria Beckham, Rejina Pyo, Simone Rocha, and Christopher Kane, to name a few. Sure, the street style and celebrity attendees are exciting to see, but let's face it, there would be no fashion weeks without the plethora of runway shows and presentations, so that's what we're here to discuss.
While not as jam-packed as New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week features some of the most important designer collections of the season, so consider this your CliffsNotes to the best of LFW. Keep scrolling to see the standout looks that everyone will be talking about for months.
JW Anderson
If metallics are your thing, JW Anderon's S/S 20 collection is sure to please. Glittering silver and gold pieces dotted the runway alongside sparkling harnesses, belts, and long and loose trousers accompanied by ankle-tie rope sandals. The collection was also proof that interesting trench coats are here to stay.
Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane's S/S 20 collection, inspired by science and nature, was filled with statement-making pieces with cutouts, embellishment, and wild prints. Good luck getting this breathtaking black dress with strategically placed hardware out of your mind anytime soon.
Erdem
Kate Middleton favorite Erdem debuted a stunningly romantic S/S 20 today in the great outdoors, where Erdem Moralioglu pretty much solidified that platform shoes and maxi lengths will be unavoidable come spring. Modest silhouettes in bright colors with ruffled accents were the norm among the eclectic looks.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham's S/S 20 collection is all about movement. Every piece was expertly tailored, per usual with Beckham's designs, but the dresses (all of which featured pockets) and layered suiting featured generous proportions and relaxed draping that felt particularly fresh.
Simone Rocha
There's no denying that Simone Rocha always presents one of the dreamiest, most beautiful collections of the entire season, and her S/S 20 designs are no exception. Simone Rocha signatures like puffed sleeves, ruffles, stunning embroidery, and oversize silhouettes were all present and accounted for, and we won't soon forget about this jaw-dropping wallpaper-printed organza dress.
Rixo
Rixo's Woodstock-inspired collection was right in keeping with the brand's knack for colorful prints, but S/S 20 had more of a bohemian twist than in past seasons. Consider these the perfect pieces to wear with spring's platform shoe trend.
Rejina Pyo
With its brightly colored checked prints, unique tailoring, and citrus-hued color blocking, Rejina Pyo was a feast for the eyes. Expect to see these looks on a bevy of fashion insiders come spring, as every piece was forward yet wearable. Bonus points for the mismatched buttons.
