As far as sneakers go, Adidas Originals Superstars are legendary. They've undoubtedly reached classic status at this point, so it makes sense that Adidas would want to capitalize on that success. There have been plenty of iterations of the sneakers since their re-release, but now, the brand is doing something different: releasing a combat boot version of the Superstar sneakers.

In a press release yesterday, Adidas announced that it has reinterpreted "the original Superstar model into a rugged, high-top design," exclusively for women. The boots will soon be released in white, black, and other seasonal colors (so you know the brand is banking on the shoes' success). Combat and hiking boots are a key shoe trend of F/W 18, so a sellout of these is most likely imminent. Thanks to the sturdy rubber sole, we're particularly looking forward to wearing the boots in the winter, and the minimal design makes the boots particularly versatile. Pair them with everything from jeans and shearling jackets to plaid blazers and trousers.

The release date of the boots is yet to be announced, but it will be in the near future. For now, get a glimpse of them below and shop other Adidas sneakers that are perfect for fall and winter.
