These 2 Outfits Are Under $100, But You'd Never Know It

Let's talk about style ruts. Anyone else finding themselves in one right now? It's arguably easier (and more relatable) than to feel less than inspired while staying at home with very few places for which to get dressed up. After noticing I was still wearing the previous night's pajamas by dinnertime (I know, the horror!) on more than one occasion in the past couple of weeks, I finally decided enough was enough. It was time to find joy in getting dressed every day.
So where does one start? In my case: Instagram. Naturally, there's a lot of loungewear outfits in the feed right now, but I stopped scrolling when I saw the super-easy-yet-elevated outfits Raeann Langas has been putting together. She regularly impresses me with her effortless on-trend style, but her most recent looks, like these ones below using only items from Walmart, feel especially practical and price-conscious (aka relatable). See and shop her chic summer style here.
So what is she swapping out her sweats for these days? Firstly, an everyday denim and T-shirt look that gets an elevated touch by way of a lightweight blazer and strappy sandals. Her current favorite denim style? Bermuda shorts, which she says are surprisingly easy to pull off. "I love the look of a blazer and denim shorts! I also find Bermuda shorts super comfortable, and I love the way they look with a strappy pair of heels."
As for how to find the perfect pair of denim? Langas has us covered with her number one online shopping tip. "Look at the product description to see what fabric the items are made of: This is key when shopping for denim. I know that if it is non-stretch denim I will need to go up one or two sizes." Noted.
"I really do miss wearing my fun summer heeled sandals!" Langas admits. Talk about relatable.
Next up, she suggests an easy-to-wear minidress that's equal parts trendy and classic. "I loved this dress the first moment I saw it," Langas says of this $29 piece. "You can wear it so many different ways. I love that small floral pattern of the dress, and the cut is flattering and makes me feel so confident."
"At the beginning of quarantine it was fun to wear loungewear every day for a change, but that does get old," Langas tells me. "I find I feel better about myself and I’m more productive when I put in a little extra effort and give my sweatpants a bit of a break."
"This is the perfect summer crossbody bag," Langas says. I mean, that cool raffia texture—what more could you want?
