You might not be familiar with Alicia Vikander, but prepare to see a lot more of her. The Swedish actress is nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for The Danish Girl, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for Ex Machina—and it’s clear she was on a mission to impress on the red carpet today.

Vikander took to the red carpet in an accordion pleat Louis Vuitton gown with a ruffled neckline and a criss-cross back that made quite a moment when she spun around. On paper these elements might seem like ‘too much’, but this look just works.
