I'm Wearing This Versatile Piece All Fall—3 Ways I'm Styling It

Vests are having a moment in the world of fashion and personal style. Personally, it’s one of my very favorite pieces to play around with. From waistcoats to the sweater vest variety, there are so many styles and designs out there. While experimenting with the sleeveless garment is a lot of fun for me, I understand that’s not the situation for everyone.

If you’ve been eager to give this style a go, now’s the time. I’ve made things really easy for you by highlighting my three favorite ways to style a vest. On top of that, I’ve included some of my favorite vest styles from across the internet with accompanying clothing pieces, so you can shop out some of these outfit-making tricks. Keep scrolling to learn just how I style this versatile fashion lover favorite.

Outfit #1: Layered Vest

One of the oldest styling tricks in the book is to layer layer layer. Vests are the perfect opportunity to try this out. For example, you can throw on your favorite vest over a t-shirt and pair it with jeans for a cute casual look. You can even dress it up by layering over button-up shirts or dresses.

Outfit #2: Vest + Bottoms of Choice

Vests make a great replacement for any of your go-to tops. You can play with the bottoms you decide to wear. I've really enjoyed wearing my favorite waistcoat styles with maxi skirts, jeans, cargo pants and so much more.

Outfit #3: Matching Set

Matching sets always have a way of looking so chic. There's something seamless and sophisticated about pieces that were designed to complement each other. Suiting separates are becoming easier and easier to find as vests increase in popularity. This look is great for professional settings or events that require slightly elevated attire.
