Don't get me wrong, I adore investing in clothes, shoes and bags, but when it comes to this July 2024 Amazon Prime Day Sale I'm going to be all about the chicest interiors purchases. I moved into a new house a couple of years ago and it's been a slow but steady (read: frustrating) process of gradually overhauling every room. Some areas have been repainted and furnished, but I'm still lacking a lot of those extra details and finishing touches that can make a house feel like a (stylish) home. Not only that, but when you're investing in boring things like roof repairs or replacement dishwashers, it's the little luxuries like a great steamer or a game-changing air-fryer that actually get left until very last, or never at all. Which is why I'm making sensible homeware-related purchases for the last of the Amazon Prime Sale.

First things first though, you'll want to make sure you're signed up for an Amazon Prime account here. It's free for 30 days so you can access all the benefits of the Amazon Prime Day discounts without shelling out a penny (just remember to cancel before the 30 days is up if you don't want to pay the monthly fee going forward). When does this Prime Day end, you ask? Well, it's live until 23.59pm BST on 17 July, 2024.

I have the wardrobe and the clothes… now I just need the storage solutions and those final home decor buys.

Depending on your interiors taste or ambitions for your home (whether rented or owned), there's a surprising volume of interesting finds to discover on Amazon. You can use the platform to search for smart little inventions that make a difference to your everyday—seriously, velvet hangers will tidy up the wildest of wardrobes (and you can see how heavily I rely on them in the image above)—through to more luxe, indulgent buys that tap into a particular aesthetic.

There's plenty on offer for the minimalist, purist or those who subscribe to a neater, Mari Kondo-esque way of life: chic storage options that look like they've come out a futuristic hotel room, elvet cushion covers that I can imagine in Soho House, or a classic Scandi-looking stove-top coffee maker are all worth checking out if that's your stye inclination.

There's undeniable kitchenware classics from Le Creuset, sleek rugs for bedrooms or living rooms, a seriously expensive-looking chair that I'm sure will move quickly. Whatever you lean towards, if you're looking to invest in making a few effective tweaks to your home interiors, now is a good time.
