PSA: This Elegant £45 Sell-Out Other Stories Knit Is Finally Back in Stock

When I find an item of clothing or a pair of shoes I like, I buy it in every colour it comes in. If you were to peek inside my wardrobe, it would look as if it belonged to twins who like to dress in matching ensembles, albeit in different shades. Off the top of my head, I can tell you I have three Ghost Jenna dresses (the blue, black and pink) and the white and grey versions of Arket's perfect-fit T-shirt. I've also got the same old Topshop Editor jeans in two colours. But the item I've bought four times is a simple but incredibly versatile piece from one of my favourite high-street stores: Other Stories.

Other Stories has always had one of the strongest knitwear sections on the high street. From cult-status varsity jumpers to sought-after cable-knit cardigans, whatever woolly moment you're looking for, you're sure to find it here. However, one of my favourite finds is its Mock Neck Sweater, a straight-fit knit jumper with what the brand calls a "mock neck." It's a high neckline that isn't bulky and that doesn't roll over itself. The jumper itself is not oversized, nor is it fitted. It's simply the ideal cut for layering over dresses and blouses or for tucking into the front of your jeans or a skirt. The off-shoulder seams loan to the overall relaxed feel, making it the ideal throw-on piece for days in the house as well as a handy layer for walks.

It's a bestseller for the brand, and aside from the fact that it comes in just about every colour you can think of, part of its undeniable charm is its price point. At £47, it's incredibly affordable, particularly for Other Stories, whose knitwear peaks at £175. It proved so popular Other Stories has recently unveiled an alpaca-wool mock-neck jumper, which is almost identical to the original, only it sits a fraction higher and is made from more premium materials. Because of this it has a higher price-point of £85.

As it's a firm favourite amongst the style set, I've seen both Jessica Skye and Nicole Ocran wearing their Other Stories mock-neck jumpers this season in the sage and pink colourways respectively. As for me? Well, I have it in white, beige, mole and sage, and I currently have my eye on the blue, black and cream iterations, too. However, I've learnt from past experiences that, although they sometimes come back into stock, Other Stories' mock-neck jumpers sell out fast.
