Anya Taylor-Joy May Have Single-Handedly Brought Back '60s Go-Go Boots

While we're currently knee-deep in the 2000s fashion renaissance, that doesn't mean it's the only decade that's coming back with a vengeance. If Anya Taylor-Joy's newest outfit is any indicator, '60s style will be enjoying a comeback any minute now. Photographed in Los Angeles—where bare legs in November are the norm—she wore a gingham minidress with white knee-high boots reminiscent of one '60s staple: go-go boots.

Nancy Sinatra and Yoko Ono, pictured below, are just a couple of famous go-go-boot wearers from that decade. It's no wonder why Taylor-Joy chose to style hers with a minidress. That was the number one way to wear go-go boots in the '60s. Scroll down to see her new outfit and revisit the OG trend.

Sinatra, shown here with Elvis Presley, was particularly fond of the shoe trend in the '60s.

She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
