6 Après-Ski Trends That Are Flooding My Instagram Feed RN
Welcome to après-ski season. Chances are that, like me, you can't open your phone anymore without seeing somebody on a ski trip. For the past few months, my Instagram feed has been a parade of posts tagged in places like Jackson Hole and Courchevel, each one featuring more stylish and luxe skiing outfits than the last. Think the highly documented celebrity vacations like Kendall Jenner's snow-filled trip to Aspen and Jasmine Tookes' stylish jaunt to Niseko, Japan. And while plenty of fashion people are actually hitting the slopes for a ski or snowboarding session, even more of them are just there for the vibes, as they say. In other words, for many, it's all about pulling off an epic après-ski look, lift ticket or no lift ticket.
As for what exactly constitutes a chic après-ski outfit in 2024? Well, we're about to get into what to wear when you've just completed your last run of the day and are heading to the base of the mountain for a well-deserved après cocktail or two. If you're a fashion person, you'll be swapping your skisuit for a luxe faux-fur coat and maybe even throwing on a pair of '80s earrings. Ahead, discover the six après-ski fashion trends that are defining cool ski style this season.
Statement (Faux) Fur
Maybe the mob wives were onto something. Faux fur is undoubtedly having its moment this winter and when it comes to these statement coats, the bigger and bolder, the better it is. Pack one for your next ski trip if you want to show up to the après location in true style.
Kendall Jenner packed it for Aspen. Just saying.
The coat is the outfit, you know?
Sporty Shades
Skiing is a sport, after all. Even if you never step foot on the chair lift, play into the athletic energy by donning a pair of sporty wraparound sunglasses. They'll make a cool statement off the slopes, but on them, they're a practical pick for shielding from the snow's glare.
Don't they look so good with a jersey headband?
I pride myself on digging throughReplica Store, and I must say, these are a great find.
Heavy-Duty Boots
The thing about the après-ski look is that it's half aesthetically-motivated and half functional. That's where heavy-duty boots come into play—you'll need them to trek through the snow, but why settle for any old pair of snow boots when you can opt for something shearling-lined or patent-finished?
It doesn't get any better than Moon Boot's lightweight, insulated snow boots.
Jot down this combination: faux fur coat + leggings + shearling boots.
Love the combination of suede and shearling here.
Loud Knits
One piece fashion people will always have in their suitcases on a trip to the mountains is a fun-loving statement knit. Skiwear brand Perfect Moment is known to offer sweaters with their iconic stars and "ski" lettering and they make for the ideal item to toss on with your ski pants or leggings after a long day on the mountain.
All I need is a ski trip on my calendar so I can justify buying this.
Prints on prints—when it comes to the après-ski vibe, it just works.
Red-Hot Looks
Just like ready-to-wear, shoes, and bags, skiwear, too, is getting the red treatment this winter. Some of the coolest on-mountain attire I've seen features an all-over wash of bright cherry red because if you can't make a statement while skiing, when can you?
Belted ski jackets are great at giving you shape even when you're wearing a million layers.

Ski jumpsuits are especially cool because not only do they keep frigid mountain air from blasting through but they also give a fun retro vibe.
If you're looking to invest in high-quality skiwear, Goldbergh is a great way to go.
Dripping in Gold
Jewelry might be impractical when you're actually skiing, but adorning yourself with luxe gold pieces makes so much sense for the après hour. Think Lady Gaga's character in the House of Gucci film—that's the goal.
Big earrings and chunky knits are a match made in après-ski heaven.
Haute Headbands
Take a cue from Jasmine Tookes' very stylish trip to the ski resorts in Japan and break out a faux fur headband.
For something more subdued, a wool or fleece headband is a great option to keep you hair from getting in your face. Oh, and they happen to look cool also.
