This Is What Athleisure Looks Like in 2018
Adidas dropped a brand-new collection at New York Fashion Week, and it has this editor rethinking the cool way to wear athleisure in 2018. Instead of relying on standbys like leggings and a crop top, Adidas is making a strong case for wearing a matching tracksuit. Dreamed up by Amsterdam-based designer Daniëlle Cathari, the collection reimagines the tracksuit with a reconstructed ’90s-inspired silhouette. And the styling is on point. The jackets are zippered up to the neck and tucked into the coordinating track pants. Then, the look is finished off with a pair of sneakers or heels. We have a feeling this outfit will be all over the street style scene soon.
In fact, Kendall Jenner has already been snapped wearing the look. Not only was Jenner a model in the presentation, she was also a muse for the collection. And when she stepped out in the head-to-toe look, she solidified the tracksuit trend as an essential way to wear athleisure this year. The collection, which was available for purchase online, has already sold out. But Adidas will be dropping exclusive new colors. Keep your eye out for yellow on February 17, blue on February 28, and pink on March 28. Mark your calendar.
