Ata-Owaji Victor is a London-based lifestyle and beauty writer and editor whose sharp insights and luminous prose have lit up publications such as Refinery29, Elle UK, British Vogue, Marie Claire UK, Who What Wear UK, Glamour and more.

With a BA in English from Queen Mary, University of London, Ata began her career by working as an editorial styling assistant. She then gained invaluable experience interning across fashion, beauty and features desks at titles including Grazia and The Sunday Times Style, before joining the British Vogue beauty team. Over her six+ year career as a freelance writer, she has become known for her thoughtful, inclusive coverage—whether that’s profiling buzzy actors and musicians, unpicking beauty tech trends, or flagging genius innovations in haircare.

Ata is especially passionate about Afro haircare, and she writes with first-hand knowledge: she frequently experiments on her own 4C coils, putting products (and promises) to the test. Her fascination with beauty technology and innovation also drives much of her work.

Beyond writing, Ata consults for both small and large beauty brands, helping them to design and launch inclusive products that resonate across race, age and gender. And, when she’s not dissecting Wholesale Replica Bag skincare drop or hair-tech gadget, Ata loves to travel, try new restaurants and bars and spend quality time with family and friends.
