There are plenty of trending bob hairstyles at the moment, but according to Google Trends, the feathered bob is growing in popularity. This "feathered" style was hugely popular back in the '70s and '80s, and experienced a big resurge in the early '00s too. It consists of multiple layers that add both shape and volume to the hair; these layers are often given a wipsy finish for that "feathered effect". Although this hairstyle is mainly associated with medium to long hair lengths, I happen to think that it works beautifully on short hair.
