The "Boring" Hue That Will Dominate Our Feeds This Spring
Spring tends to conjure up vivid hues of sunny yellow, coral, turquoise, peach, and blue. While there was certainly a decent splattering of warm and bright colors trending on the S/S 19 runways(coral is the Pantone Color of the Year, after all), a far subtler and more sophisticated shade unexpectedly dominated fashion week. From sand and tan to camel and cream, we saw the whole spectrum of beige rule on the runways—exuding a refined and relaxed elegance that is easily wearable and anything but boring. The key to keeping the look fresh and modern is to wear the color palette from head to toe, mixing several shades of beige within your outfit. Play with textures as well, such as a croc-embossed tan bag, biscuit-tinged leather boots, or a soft cream cashmere sweater.
Not surprisingly, the trending color palette has already become a hit among the fashion crowd, filling our Insta feeds with a luxurious latte hue. Not only does it look expensive, but there is also a perfect shade to flatter every skin tone. The neutral tones work for every occasion, from the office to cocktail parties.
