Bella Hadid Wore Crystal Shoes and Low-Slung Pants for Her Birthday Party

I might be biased, but Libra season is the best time of year. Bella Hadid would probably agree, as she turned 23 on October 9. (Side note: Am I the only one who thought she was older?) To celebrate, Hadid hosted her famous friends and siblings at L'Avenue in New York City. The attendees practically put on a runway show en route to the venue—not surprising considering how most guests were fellow models.

As for the birthday girl, she wore a black tank top and black ab-baring pants, but her outfit was far more interesting than it sounds thanks to lots of special details. For starters, her top featured tiny crystal straps that matched her glittering heels. Her Christian Dior chain choker and leopard bag were chic touches as well. Scroll down to see Hadid's birthday outfit, plus what guests like Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls, Dua Lipa, and Kaia Gerber wore.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
