We're Fashion Editors—Here Are the 6 Trends We're Buying First in 2023
As we wrap up 2022, we’re naturally reflecting on the best moments in fashion from this year—from the trends and brands that mattered most to the best shopping finds we've personally added to our closets. We’re also thinking forward to where style is headed in 2023 and how that will inevitably shape our wardrobes in the coming months and the pieces we plan on wearing. Curious to find out the perspective ofBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editors, I asked our team to weigh in about the trends they’re buying first next year.
As it turns out, our fashion editors are planning to test-drive a wide range of fashion trends that mirror what unfolded on the spring/summer 2023 runways. From eye-catching sequins and directional low-rise trousers to pared-back, ’90s-inspired dresses and sleek duster coats, get a preview into the best 2023 fashion trends, according toBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editors—beginning with the pieces sitting in this editor’s cart.
Quiet luxury was one of the defining trends from the S/S 23 collections that's speaking to me and my shopping habits right now. I'm looking to buy fewer pieces that are high quality which I'll have in my closet for years to come. This also lines up with the pared-back, understated elegance demonstrated on the runways.

"I don't have a ton of occasions to wear sequins for, but based on the S/S 23 runways, I'll be looking for them come spring. The runways of Valentino and 16Arlington were particularly shiny, and I'm inspired to look for low-key ways to style them IRL."—Allyson Payer, senior editor
Shop the trend:
"I've secured the perfect low-rise jeans (I sized up in these from Mango, albeit in a different wash), but I still want to lean into the trend further with a pair of low-rise trousers. I think these from Zara will fit the bill perfectly. I picture styling them with a second skin bodysuit, so the curve of my waist is highlighted."—Kat Collings, Editor in Chief
Shop the trend:
"The first 2023 trend I'm looking to buy into is a floor-length—to the max—leather coat. After witnessing runway collections that praised the floor-length coat, as seen in both edgy leather and cozy wool, I'm officially convinced."—Sierra Mayhew, associate editor
Shop the trend:
"Fashion has long since had a fixation on all things sheer and 2023 may just be the year I'm gutsy enough to try out the look for myself. I fell in love with the gauzy knits that flooded the spring runways, particularly the knit separates at Miu Miu, Prada, and Tory Burch."—Anna LaPlaca, editor
Shop the trend:
"In 2023, I'll be leaning into the '90s aesthetic with a chic tailored tube dress—as spotted all over the S/S 23 runways from Khaite to Prada. I'm particularly keen on a slightly more relaxed silhouette that drapes looser on the body which feels fresh for the new season."—Judith Jones, senior market editor
