The 2023 Blazer Trend Is Here, and It's Truly Perfect
Blazers always make quite an appearance on the runways no matter what season is at play, which means we can't really tell you blazers are trending since, by now, they are 100% a wardrobe basic, must-have, go-to, etc. Instead, we like to examine this timeless outerwear style to identify the nuances from season to season. So what's in store for next year? The collarless blazer. We're talking no lapels in sight. This detail, although subtle, somehow still feels very significant—so much so that we are deeming it the blazer trend to know this year.
This particular blazer style offers up great opportunities to show off a funky collar should you choose to layer a shirt underneath or show off a glitzy assortment of necklaces with no distractions from the lapel. Overall, we think the look is so chic. The lack of a collar creates such a streamlined silhouette that reads extremely elevated no matter how it's styled. Ahead, you'll get to take a peek at a few of our favorite collarless-blazer moments from the runways, and of course, you'll be able to shop our favorite versions of this trend along the way.
The tailored separates at Helmut Lang this season were quite remarkable, and this collarless jacket is no exception.
From the color to the addition of the sporty sunglasses, the forward styling of this skirt suit feels just right.
Thanks to the sculptural shape of the sleeves and the lack of a lapel, this blazer reads particularly architectural.
The peekaboo-midriff moment makes this suit feel so fresh for spring.
Winter whites.
While this blazer trend isn't about the belting, we have to admit some of our favorite iterations of the trend include that belted crossover look.
Worth the splurge.
This will keep you warm and chic.
A true classic.
The lack of a collar gives off a more casual aesthetic, and considering we are no longer going into the office every single day, any blazer that offers a relaxed look is a yes in our book.
She is elegance.
This is the blazer that will go with anything.
This one might our favorite, which is why one of our editors is currently on the wait list for it.
Vince gets relaxed suiting right time and again. We love how a collarless blazer allows a large shirt lapel to really shine.
