No Doubt About It—M&S Has the Best Coats, Boots and Jumpers This Winter
After officially saying goodbye to summer and navigating the tricky transitional months, we're happy to say that we finally have a solution to the age-old question, "What should I wear in winter?". And the answer is surprisingly simple.
It's in the colder months that high-street brand Marks and Spencer really comes into its own, and if anyone knows British style, it's the people at M&S who have been outfitting us for decades, and leaning into the cooler climes is their speciality. Sure, we stocked up on plenty of the brand's dresses already, but the proof of its cold-weather expertise is in the proverbial pudding, where the main ingredients are timeless coats, boots and jumpers.
Marks Spencer's borg jacket has only just launched but is selling like hotcakes.
Whenever we find ourselves lacking in cosy knits or realise we could do with investing in new boots, Marks Spencer is the first place we turn. Continuing to build on its well-curated edit of modern workwear, versatile separates and statement knitwear and outerwear, this season, M&S also is offering brand-new silhouettes, reworked classics and some seriously cosy moments.
With consistent sizing (something that's becoming infuriatingly unreliable on the high street) and a level of quality that, more often than not, surpasses its price tags, I personally think M&S purchases are always worth it. And right now, M&S's coat, boot and jumper offerings are so impressive it only seems right to share them with you and give the brand its well-deserved dues.
Keep scrolling to see the very best Marks and Spencer shoes, jumpers, dresses and coats this discerning fashion editor thinks are worth your time. You certainly won't regret it.
1. Marks and Spencer Coats
Wrap up and head out in the best shearling, tailoring and quilted coats on the market. There's no better way to battle against the cold than a coat that looks (and feels) quite as good as these.
Of all the camel coats I've seen this season, this one is easily the most stylish.
I always feel my chicest in coats like this one.
Borg textures continue to dominate, and M&S got the memo.
You will never regret investing in a wool-blend black coat such as this one.
If you prefer your coats on the shorter side for one reason or another, this pea coat makes for a chic option.
2. Marks and Spencer Jumpers
Whether you're heading out on the commute, meeting friends or spending the weekend hibernating, reach for cosy, comfortable knits that are guaranteed to put a little extra pep in your step. Think premium cashmere jumpers and chunky wool cardigans that will become wardrobe staples for many years to come.
The perfect throw-on, whatever you're wearing on your bottom half.
Cable-knit jumpers are my knitwear weakness. You better believe I already have this style on order.
A pop of red is fashion's favourite colour flex for winter.
The zip-up neckline allows for various styling options.
3. Marks and Spencer Boots
So long, ballet flats. We'll be wearing boots for the foreseeable, and whether you're looking for a dressy heel, a chunky Chelsea or something a little cosier, there's guaranteed to be a boot for you in M&S's footwear line-up.
Silver shoes are going to be huge this winter.
These will make any dress or skirt look polished.
The patent finish and sleek silhouette makes these boots look genuinely designer.
The tall leg makes these Chelsea boots feel ultra modern.
Curved heels are a big footwear trend this season.
