The Wedding Dress Colour You've Probably Never Entertained
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something… red? It's certainly not the norm, but what about a red wedding dress when it comes to making your nuptials that little bit different?
Traditionally the colour of passion and romance (and to naysayers, danger—but let's park that), crimson is an unexpected choice, but it's not that unusual when you consider the above. If the thought of a gown in ivory or white leaves you feeling indifferent, then broaden your spectrum for something a little punchier. Coloured wedding dresses are gaining momentum.
Appropriate for a wedding at any time of year, wearing red will feel suitably festive around Christmas and February, but it will also make a fabulous statement if you're getting hitched abroad under the sun. In short, it will work. Granted, the market isn't flooded with red gowns, but this may be your ticket to splurge on a dreamy designer frock that will just so double up as "the one". We've scoured our favourite luxury retailers, and the future looks well, rosy.
Make like Meghan Markle and opt for a halter instead.
