The Most Stylish Travel Destinations for 2020
We're only two days into the New Year, meaning 2020 is pretty much a blank canvas. How are you going to fill it? If you're anything like me, you hope to make time for plenty of traveling. There are endless destinations to choose from, but I tend to find my new obsessions via Instagram. (As it turns out, those chic girls really are #influencing!)
This year, a few destinations made my shortlist. First up: Iceland. Since I'm from Southern California, bundling up is a novelty to me—and I plan on doing it in Iceland in the near future if everything goes to plan. At the other end of the world, there's Seoul, a favorite of Aimee Song. Switzerland, Greece, Kauai, and Palm Springs also made my list—scroll down to see why and shop pieces to wear to each location.
Iceland
Iceland is at the top of a lot of people's bucket lists—and for good reason. Thanks to Lucy Williams, I'm now particularly intrigued by Deplar Farms, a beautiful, remote lodge that allows you to be truly off-the-grid. I've also heard amazing things about the Ion Adventure Hotel.
Porto Heli, Greece
I would kill to visit any of the Aman properties around the world, but right now I have my eye on Amanzoe in Porto Heli, Greece. Yes, it might be because Net-a-Porter chose it for an influencer trip, but I'm not ashamed to be #influenced.
St. Moritz, Switzerland
St. Moritz has long been the go-to ski destination for the stylish set, but when the snow melts, the rolling green hills are strikingly beautiful. I've been noticing the fairytale-worthy Suvretta House hotel popping up on my Instagram feed a lot recently, and I'm dying to book a trip.
Kuaui, Hawaii
Do you really need a reason to go to paradise? It seems like all the cool girls are flocking to the island of Kauai right now.
Seoul
Seoul Fashion Week is getting bigger and better every single season, but it's not the only reason to travel to South Korea's capital. Take it from Aimee Song: The food is truly next-level.
Palm Springs, California
My best tip for visiting Palm Springs: Don't schedule your trip near Coachella or Stagecoach.
Next, the winter trends four celebs (and their moms) all wear.
Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
