4 Bikini Trends I'm Stealing From Blue Crush
Quick: What comes to mind when you think of quintessential summer movies? For me, it has to be Blue Crush. The 2002 film has everything you want in a warm-weather flick: a beautiful Hawaiian backdrop, shirtless love interests, a breakout star (Kate Bosworth in one of her earliest roles), and of course, lots and lots of swimsuits.
It's been 18 years since the movie was released, but almost all of the bikini trends are still cool today. Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, and the other girls all wore different swimsuits to suit their characters' personal styles. Rodriguez wore fun tiger prints and American flag prints, while Bosworth was more classic in stripes and solid colors. Scroll down to reminisce about the iconic summer movie and shop the bikini trends that still work in 2020.

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
