The Anti-Neutral Color Trend That Will Rule 2021
There are plenty of color trends that make it on our radar, but there’s one that is drumming up a lot of excitement among theBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editors: bubblegum pink. The color trend was spotted everywhere on the S/S 21 runways and has already entered the wardrobes of the fashion set, so we’re predicting that it will be the defining shade of the upcoming season. It’s definitely a departure from the neutrals that have been commanding our closets for the past few seasons, but it’s a dose of fun that I’m ready to welcome into my wardrobe.
If you want to get a head start on the trend, there’s already plenty of inspiration to look to from the runway and fashion set. Ahead, get some styling tips and shop my edit of the best pieces to add to your cart right now. I certainly won’t be waiting until 2021 to start wearing the bubblegum pink color trend myself.
On the runway:
This oversize button-down top on the Valentino runway was a favorite among buyers this season. Expect to see this everywhere in 2021.
Relaxed trousers are one of the biggest trends destined for next season. Here, Chanel takes it up a level by adding a bubblegum pink finish.
A velour pink jacket? I'm in if Miu Miu is endorsing it and will happily embrace the early aughts trend again for spring.
One of the coolest ways to wear the shade? With another equally bold color, like the green heels peeking through the bottom of this dress.
On the fashion set:
Tap into the trend by wearing a pair of bubblegum pink sweatpants with a contrasting color on top, like this yellow puffer.
For a subtle hint of color, add a '90s-inspired bageutte bag.
One lesson I learned when living in NYC: your winter look is all about the coat.
Go for a tonal look by layering pieces from the same color family.
These shoes instantly liven up a black dress.
One cool way to pull off the trend? Stick to an all-neutral look and add a pop of color with one standout piece.
Here's another outfit that is the perfect balance of neutrals and color.
I don't think we'll ever get tired of puff sleeves.
Just add a pair of jeans to a sweater and your look is all set.
Prada has perfected the bubblegum pink shade.
