I'm a Creative Director, and I'll Be Wearing These 6 Outfits All Season
I made a promise to myself that this summer, I will be my most stylish self. I am going to step it up a notch when it comes to my personal style and really try and figure out what outfits work best for me, what makes me feel the most confident, and what I feel like is the best representation of my personality and personal style. I would like to think of myself as someone who’s always been stylish and fashion-savvy, but there are definitely outfits I’ve worn where I look back and absolutely cringe. There will be none of that in my most stylish summer yet, and to make sure I stay away from outfits that make me ask myself "What were you thinking?”, I enlisted the help of someone whose outfits never miss.
Miami-based influencer, creative director, and founder of the jewelry brand Aureum Collective Cass Dimicco sat down with me and told me the six ultra-chic outfits that she’ll be wearing all season long (and that I’ll be copying). As I mentioned, Dimicco is based in Miami, Florida, but is a former New York City girl, and her personal style definitely has that MIA/NYC It-girl feel to it. When we got to talking, she disclosed to me that Miami has had an influence on her style. "I definitely started embracing color once I moved to Miami. Prior to that, I never wore one ounce of color,” she said.
I wanted to know what Dimicco’s vibe is going to be for summer, with so many fun aesthetics to choose from and so many options to shop.
She said, "Lately, I’ve kinda been in this phase, I’m sure you’ve seen this everywhere, but as an influencer, I get in this bad habit of always buying crazy pieces to get good engagement, and then I go to my closet, and I’m just thinking, What is all of this crap?”
I laughed with her about this because I have also been there before. I love a great showstopping statement piece, but too many in one closet can be… a lot.
She continued, "So now I’m in the phase of going back to focusing on a more normal way of dressing with more essential pieces and wearing everything over and over, styling them in different ways. I think that’s just so much more useful, sustainable, and meaningful.”
I couldn't agree with her more. Finding versatile, elevated pieces is not only the way to make your closet way less cluttered but also better for the environment and your closet space.

Loose Pants + Fitted Tank or Crop Top
"I’m very into baggy jeans/trousers. Just anything loose because it’s so much more comfortable, and it has so much more of a laid-back, ‘cool-girl vibe.’ I go to the gym every morning and I work hard on my body, so I like to counteract the baggy look with a little crop top. So I like to wear some baggy jeans, a tight tank top, and the essential key to these more minimal outfits is the epic accessories. [That] is why Aureum was created, basically just jazzing up all your looks with really cool rings, really cool hoops… I actually like the ones you’re wearing right now.” Dimicco pointed to my gold hoops that I was wearing during our conversation.
One thing is for sure: The two of us agree that the cherry on top of any look is luxe, high-quality jewelry that you can wear every day and for any occasion, which is the reason she wanted to create her brand in the first place. I’ve tried some Aureum pieces myself, and I’ve got to say I’m really into it. I’ve worn one of my Aureum pieces every day since I received them.
"Keeping it simple but then having sick jewelry and accessories on to show your personal style more,” she added.

Simple Body-Con Dress + Flip-Flops
"Some sort of clean, minimal, solid, tight dress—something like a ’90s spaghetti-strap tank-top dress—and flip-flops. Even that Skims longer dressor even the short one, just a cute fitted tight dress counteracted with flip-flops. Think sexy but casual.”
Shop the look:
Lose Trousers + Belt + Tank
"I love a good belt. It doesn’t have to be designer. Aureum carries chain belts. I have leather belts that I live in and are super classic. One of my most-asked questions actually is about where I get my black plain leather belts.”
Shop the look:
Button-Down Shirt + Swimsuit + Chic Summer Hat
"I’ll be living in my swimsuits all summer. I pair them with a button-down shirt so it feels like more of an outfit and then some sort of cute hat. I’m very into crochet hats or even just a baseball hat. It’s all about the cute hat.”
Shop the look:
Denim Shorts + Blazer
"Denim shorts, obviously, but paired with a blazer because I feel like you always need some sort of polished look with denim cutoff shorts. In Miami, even though it’s hot here, whenever I go to a restaurant, people are blasting the cold air. Whenever I’m at lunch or dinner, I end up freezing. So I’m usually wearing a blazer when I go out to dinner. A good blazer is just such a staple.”
Shop the look:
Button-Down Shirt + Short Shorts + Strappy Heels
"Obviously, button-downs. I have been getting a little adventurous with the colors. They’re definitely a staple, and I feel like everyone knows that. But lately, I’ve been loving pairing an oversize button-down with mini shorts and sexy heels for a night out, even day-to-night vibes. A lace-up heel would be perfect, but what’s most important is the short shorts so your legs are the vibe.”
