Are Cropped Jeans Cool Again? Just Ask Katie Holmes and Kaia Gerber

As a short person, I'll be the first to tell you that I've really missed cropped jeans. Truth be told, I still wear them anyway, but for the past couple of seasons, they've been booted out of the top denim style spot by full-length jeans (still very much a trend, for the record). Full-length jeans that aren't too long when you're 5'4" are not an easy find, my friends. But I didn't have to miss cropped jeans for long, because they already seem to be making a comeback.

This week, two very tall, very famous, trend-setting women by the names of Katie Holmes and Kaia Gerber wore cropped jeans, and that's all the proof I need to see to convince me they're back. And Gerber's jeans had a finished hem while Holmes' had a frayed hem, so we're not even singling out just one type of cropped jeans. We love to see it.

Another fun fact is that both women wore flat shoes with their cropped jeans (white sneakers for Holmes and loafers for Gerber). I've always been of the thinking that cropped jeans look better with flats, and there's also the comfort factor. Good news all around. In celebration of this new denim trend revelation, keep scrolling to see how Katie Holmes and Kaia Gerber styled their cropped jeans and shop my favorite pairs for yourself.
