In fact, before the announcement was even made, blue was largely evident on the spring/summer 2020 runways, where designers debuted their collections for the new season in September 2019.
Everyone from Boss to Balmain showcased blue in one form or another, with The Row's take on mixing light and Breton tones making for one of the most expensive-looking ways to wear it. And, during the last few weeks across fashion month, the colour has proven a hit with showgoers, too.
