Clickbait Accessories: The Trend Going Viral in 2022
Each season, I always look to the Net-a-Porter trend presentation that is shared with editors for an inside look at which runway trends will be big in the coming season and which ones retailers are actually buying into. There are a number of trends that made the cut for spring 2022, but there is one that was particularly eye-catching: clickbait accessories.
Net-a-Porter highlighted the trend, noting that must-have accessories stand out as something that its audience has a huge thirst for. If you're wondering what clickbait accessories are, they can be anything from epic new bags like the Y2K-inspired Balenciaga Cagole to cult collaborations like celebrity stylist Mimi Cuttrell's collection with BY FAR and JW Anderson's sneakers with Converse to colorful '90s-inspired hair claws. The main takeaway is that all of these pieces are conversation starters that demand a bit more attention than your standard staples. Ahead are the clickbait accessories to add to your closet for spring.
Like I said before, early 2000s accessories are the moment.
It doesn't get more epic than a Prada scrunchie.
When a baseball hat gets the designer treatment.
I have a feeling these Amina Muaddi heels are about to be everywhere.
