As someone from New England—a place known for its harsh winters that go on for what seems to be forever—it's my job to know coats. Being that I live in them for over half the year, I have a solid collection going, but I always have my eye out for a new coat that stands out above the rest. Enter the new coat trend that I swear is about to have a major moment: coats with a built-in scarf. Thanks to the cool-girl brand Totême, this chic style has been gaining popularity, as evidenced by the fact that it has been popping up all over social media and on the street style set.

What I love most about these coats is the effortlessness they exude and how they instantly elevate any look. With this in mind, I did a deep dive to find all the options available at the moment, and I was pleasantly surprised with the offerings. Because the trend is just catching on, most of the options are investment pieces, but I am confident that more affordable picks will be available soon. Ahead, shop 27 of my favorites, plus a few outfit ideas to boot. Good luck picking out just one.
