This 2023 Color Trend Is Already Blowing Up—5 Ways I'll Wear It
Back in May at the 2022 Met Gala, Olivia Rodrigo made her "fairycore" entrance in a purple moment that graced her from head to toe. Purple platform shoes were paired with a Y2K Versace gown and full-length gloves. Even purple butterflies embellished her hair perfectly. This is the moment everyone knew that the color purple was on the rise. As fashion week has come and gone, I've noticed the bold color making an appearance in quite a few street style roundups, so I'm sold. Consider it the It color for 2023.
Growing up, purple was one of my favorite colors. I'm a girly girl, so any feminine hue naturally catches my eye but I also loved that it symbolizes royalty. Seeing the color come back has me really excited about the many ways I'd like to style it. Below, find five outfits I'm planning on copying.
1. Purple and Black
This look is both sporty and polished at once and I'm absolutely here for it. I love the idea of layering different shades of purple and on top of that, an athleisure bodysuit is in the mix. Perfection.

2. Purple and Silver
A knit maxi dress has never steered me wrong, so trying it out in purple is a no-brainer. Pairing it with metallic accessories and a pop of pink is such a vibe.

3. Purple on Purple
If you love pastels, this look is for you. The juxtaposition of pastel purple and sporty cargo pants makes for such an amazing look. Finish it all off with a logo tank.

4. Pink and Purple
If you're unsure about committing to a head-to-toe purple look, something two-toned might be right up your alley. A purple minidress pairs very well with pink shoes, so that's how I'll be completing my outfit.

5. Purple and Teal
Expect the unexpected. I wouldn't normally think to wear a light-blue blazer with the color purple, but after seeing how good it looks here, I'm quite impressed. Finish it off with bold accessories to make a statement.

Adding this dress to my 2023 vision board.
I'm currently loving anything sheer.
It just so happens that the Houston Astros just won the World Series, so it might be a good time to buy this hat.
