I think it is safe to say that the British high street rarely disappoints. Whether you’re after a dress for a special occasion, great knitwear at affordable prices, workwear that will work hard for you way beyond the office or just classic pieces to add to your capsule wardrobe, it really does have (almost) everything you could ever need.

As a high-street aficionado, I take great pride in searching through the new-in pages on a daily basis of some of our best and brightest affordable brands and picking out the pieces that are really special. Consider that sensationally good barn jacket from Zara that went viral, Arket’s timeless blazer that both editors and influencers love and COS’s internet-famous bowling bag. There's something for everyone and every style out there. The downside?
