The New Crazy Rich Asians Clips You Probably Need to Watch Right Now

Update, May 1: After getting our first look at the official trailer last week, we now have two new clips for Crazy Rich Asians that we can't stop playing on loop. Constance Wu, who plays Rachel in the film, shared a clip of the makeover scene, which definitely shows off the movie's funny side. Plus, another new clip reveals just how icy Nick's mom is in the flick—she's everything we expected (and more). How are we going to wait until August 17? Scroll down to watch the new clips.

Originally published on April 23: Raise your hand if you read Crazy Rich Asians in approximately 12 hours. Yep—that's just about everyone. The cult book is bound to turn into a cult movie if the first trailer is any indication. Constance Wu and Henry Golding star as Rachel and Nick, a couple traveling to Singapore for a wedding—with plenty of familial drama, romance, and comedy thrown in for good measure.

Michelle Yeoh stars as Nick's mother, Eleanor, and her character has all the makings of the perfect villain. Those piercing glares! That holier-than-though look! Scroll down to watch the first trailer for the show and get a sneak peek at some of the costumes. Oh, and don't forget to mark your calendars for the release date of August 17.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
