Trend Report: Cropped Jackets
Not to get all Honey, I Shrunk the Kids with our first trend report of the year, but we couldn’t help but notice an infiltration of shrunken, cropped jackets on street style’s leading ladies. That’s right: Natasha Goldenberg, Candela Novembre, and even Zanita Whittington are opting for noticeably short outerwear pieces, and we’re digging how elongating they look with contrasting layers. Scroll down to see if you think this trend will take off (provided our warm winter continues to linger, and we don't all change into parkas), and pick one up for yourself from our shopping list at the end!
Now that’s one (very cool) way to do the patent leather trend.
Two ultra-hip trends in one outfit—we see you, Anya Ziourova.
Test the waters of this shrunken trend with a leather blazer iteration paired with a longer hemline and slingback pumps.
Zanita Whittington shows off her savvy styling skills with these three unexpected layers.
Natasha Goldenberg pairs her short leather jacket with a high-waisted midi skirt and a pair of ankle-strap heels. Office outfit: planned.
Break your military-inspired jacket out of the closet and team it with some vintage Levi’s. If you have Chanel block heels (lucky!), wear those, too!
These jewel tones make the cropped silhouette all the more of a standout.

Truth time: Would you wear the cropped jacket? Tell us in the comments!
