I'll be the first to admit that I'm not always keen on knit maxi dresses, as they feel a little sloppy and shapeless to me, but Roberts's short-sleeve version with a subtle empire waist feels pretty and polished (especially when paired with ankle boots as opposed to, say, flip-flops).
Oversize baby-doll dresses have certainly been the number one dress trend since last year, but you don't see maxi-dress iterations as commonly as short ones.
