I Don't Know How I'd Survive Without These Jeans
Of every type of clothing that I own, I can say without a doubt that jeans are the item in my closet that get the most wear. And I don't think I'm alone in that. I even did a little experiment last year in which I didn't wear jeans for a week. From day one, I was counting down the days to when I'd be reunited with my beloved stack of jeans. While I'm a big proponent of having a diverse wardrobe, there's nothing more versatile than denim, hands-down.
Speaking of my aforementioned stack of denim, I have a little trick for keeping my favorite pairs handy: I have three piles of jeans in my closet, going from least to most favorite. I switch pairs out as the seasons and trends change, but there are 11 jeans, in particular, that have a permanent place in the "most worn" pile. They run the gamut from reworked vintage Levi's to skinny jeans to cropped flares, to name a few, and I truly don't know how I'd get dressed every day without them in my life. Thinking that there might be others out there that are in need of a new favorite pair of jeans, here's where to shop the ones that I can't live without.
The High-Waisted Jeans I'll Wear for Years:
These are a recent addition to my denim collection, and I'm already hooked. They're much more comfortable than they look (which I think is always a good thing) and are the perfect slim-but-not-skinny fit.Available in sizes 23 to 35.
The Reformation Jeans I Wear on Repeat:
What did we all do before Reformation started making jeans? This was the first pair that I purchased for the brand, and I was amazed by how flattering and high-quality they were, especially at such a reasonable price point.Available in 23P to 31.
My Go-To Black Skinny Jeans:
These are my favorite "going-out" jeans, but the hint of stretch makes them comfortable enough for travel days (spoken from experience). Available in sizes 23 to 32.
The Comfortable, Cool Mom Jeans I Travel In:
I already loved this brand's skinny jeans (see slide 11), and it recently started making the most comfortable mom jeans ever. I've worn them on several recent flights, and they passed the test.Available in sizes 24 to 32.
The Sleekest Cropped Flares:
I own quite a few cropped flares, and this is the pair that I wear when I want to look especially polished, due to the jet-black wash and ultra-slim fit.Available in sizes 24 to 32.
Vintage Jeans That Actually Fit:
I've worn these more times than I can even think to count, and they always get compliments when I do. They're the perfect vintage jeans, and thanks to Re/Done's expert reworking skills, they fit like a dream.Available in sizes 24 to 32.
The Most Comfortable Jeans I Own:
These "skinny boyfriend" jeans are perfectly slouchy yet slim. I wear them every single week, and they're my go-tos when I'm running errands or working from home but don't want to look sloppy.Available in sizes 24 to 32.
My Favorite Summer Jeans:
I call these my summer jeans. They're lightweight and stretchy (yet don't lose their shape) and the ideal length and wash for the warmest months of the year.
Available in sizes 23 to 32.
The Coolest Washed-Black Skinny Jeans:
What I love most about these is that they appear to be 100% cotton, but they contain just enough stretch to make them far less stiff than they look.
Available in sizes 24 to 31.
The Affordable Cropped Flares I Tell Everyone About:
I'm constantly raving about how flattering and affordable these Madewell jeans are, and I love that you can get them monogrammed.
Available in sizes 23 to 32.
The Super-Skinny Jeans I Wear With Sweaters:
Ultra-slim skinny jeans are a closet essential, and this is the pair that I love to wear with oversize sweaters. They come in tons of washes and fit like a dream.
Available in sizes 24 to 32.
