Here Are the Trends I Want to Wear This Summer
With summer just around the corner, right now, all I can think about are the cool trends on the horizon and the pieces I want to add to my closet. Last summer, I didn’t get around to wearing much more than loungewear sets and house shoes, so I really want to make up for it this time around. Optimism is mounting for a reopening world, so I’m already thinking about possible vacations and everything I want to pack in my suitcase plus some fashion trends for summer I’ll be wearing no matter where I am.
I’m eyeing trends plucked from the S/S 21 runways such as the oversize button-downs that made a major statement at Valentino and The Row. Also topping my list are Instagram-famous trends including matching shorts sets and fun, colorful rings. Of course, it wouldn’t be a summer wardrobe without some of the biggest swimwear trends of the season. Ahead, discover all of the trends I want to wear this summer.
Shorts Sets
Pilot Sunglasses
Tinted pilot frames are the one sunglasses trend I'm most excited about for summer.
Oversize Button-Downs
Every fashion person will be wearing an oversize button-down top in a bold shade once summer hits.
Sparkly Swimsuits
Minidresses
One of my favorite summer dresses, hands down.
Platform Shoes
Plissé Pleats
This Versace beauty is hitting on two of my favorite trends with its apple-green color and plissé pleats.
Ruffled Swimsuits
Crochet
Bubblegum Pink
Zebra Bikinis
Zebra swimwear isn't new, but it's definitely here to stay, and The Attico has the coolest '80s-inspired version.
Corsets
Baseball Caps
Everyone needs a baseball cap this season, and this $10 find is too good to pass up.
Three-Piece Swimsuits
Three-piece swimwear is one of the trends I'm most excited about for summer. All you need is a bikini and a matching piece like this shirt.
Platform Sandals
Flowy Maxi Dresses
"Floss" Swimsuits
Saturated Shades
Saturated shades are comin' in hot, and I can't get enough of this hot pink.
I love the idea of wearing the blazer with the matching pants for full impact.
Practical Tote Bags
Halter-String Tops
Colorful Jewelry
These Instagram-famous rings will only be picking up more steam once summer hits.
Cream-Colored Jeans
Tangerine
Long-sleeve minis are going strong. With Jéan's iconic version is now dropping in this pretty tangerine shade.
