See Every Jaw-Dropping Detail of Imaan Hammam’s Stunning Met Gala 2025 Look

Imaan Hammam is no stranger to the Met Gala. The Dutch supermodel first made her debut on the carpet in 2018 but, since then, she's leveled up, if we do say so ourselves.
This year's first Monday in May was all about celebrating the Metropolian Museum of Art's spring 2025 exhibition—Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, an exploration of The Black Dandy, aided written about by author Monica L Miller in her book, "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity." Aligned with the exhibition, the dress code for the blue carpet was "Tailored for You," a nod to the impeccable tailoring Black men and women have carried with them for eons.
Hammam, dressed in a sublime Madga Butrym white suit, knew this year was one her favorites. The model, who was styled by Imruh Asha, fashion director of Dazed, wrote on Instagram that her look and glam, courtesy of Estée Lauder, was absolutely magical. Given Hammam ended up on several best-dressed lists, we're inclined to agree. Hammam graciously down her evening minute-by-minute and shared all of the details you might have missed in her paparazzi shots. Below, read her complete Met Gala 2025 get-ready-with-me diary, exclusively shared with Who What Wear.
"The First Monday in May is always so special but this one particularly, this years theme was allowing for so much creativity and inspiration. It focused on Black Dandyism and it’s big influence on fashion."
"I went with Polish Designer Madga Butrym. I wore a perfectly tailored white suit."
"Just a few must have items for the day of."
"The theme allowed us to play around with different prints and colors. I chose a polka dot print for my tie."
"Jewels at the ready!"
"Going to the Met Gala is simply not possible without my amazing team. Imruh Asha was my stylist for the night, Hos Hounkpatin on hair, Naima Bremer on makeup and Nia from my social team. Love you guys!"
"A classic chignon is the hair we went with last night and we topped it off with a feather headpiece."
"Patterns on patterns!"
“My very special date for the night: Stephane de La Faverie, CEO of the Estee Lauder Companies.”
"All ready to go."
"Finishing touches before heading out."
"My cane wrapped my entire look together."
"My shoes were these crystal adorned Louboutin Margiela collab heels."
"And alas, we made it to the blue carpet for the 2025 Met Gala, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.'"
