Ruby Lyn Is Channeling Her Inner Chanel Girl at Paris Fashion Week

Ruby Lyn admits she's always late—but never for Chanel.

It's Paris Fashion Week, and the crowning moment for the Gen Z social media star (and nearly everyone who flocks to the French capital during the shows) is scoring a coveted invite to watch models parade down the runway at the Grand Palais. This Chanel show marked the first since Matthieu Blazy's appointment as artistic director, and although the industry is still waiting for the designer's debut at the 115-year-old French maison, Lyn is still incredibly sat. The Chanel girl is whimsical and fun, mixing tulle, tweed, and vintage brooches like no one's business. Frankly, it's why Lyn loves it so much. "The whole show was just so pretty and feminine and elegant," she mused in her social media takeover, now live onBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing 's Instagram. "It's something Chanel knows how to do just right."

We caught up with Lyn just as she was putting the final touches on her look for the Chanel F/W 25 runway show. Clearly, she's ready to steal the spotlight.

Do you have any pre-show routines or rituals?

Going to a show can be nerve-racking, so I definitely like to feel my best on show days. Icing my face is a must, especially with a morning show. I must be fed and hydrated! If I don't eat before a show, I will be a foul person to be around, ha ha.

What's the most touristy indulgence you'll let yourself do while you're in Paris for fashion week?

This season, we got really lucky with the weather. It was sunny and truly felt like spring the majority of the week, so me and my friends spent a lot of time outside walking. The most touristy excursion was to sit by the Eiffel Tower and read on a sunny day. It was such a nice, peaceful break during the chaos of fashion week—highly recommend.

Did you have a favorite look from the Chanel F/W 25 collection? Are there any highlights from the show you're still thinking about?

I'm not sure I can choose just one look, but the show as a whole felt very true to Chanel [and] embodied a very elegant and poised woman. I loved everything from the sheer tulle layered dresses over a full outfit to the classic tweed sets. I adored the small details such as the clownish collars, filly shoes, exaggerated jewelry, broaches, large clutches. The collection left me in awe to say the least.

I'd love for you to walk me through the outfit you're wearing to the show. What about the pieces you're wearing feels exciting, fresh, and like an authentic representation of your style?

The look I wore to the show is not actually something I'd ever pick out myself. I was surprised by how good I felt in a look that would typically be out of my comfort zone. … I think that just goes to show how the craftsmanship at Chanel can effortlessly complement any woman.

If you could take one Chanel piece with you on a deserted island, what would it be?

Hmm… probably a super-chic pair of vintage Chanel sunglasses.
