Summer in NYC is unmatched. The season hasn't even officially begun, and the city is already bustling with movies in the park, outdoor dining, and incredible fashion, of course. This summer, I want to focus on having fun in the city without stressing over my outfits. Luckily, I work alongside associate fashion editor Yusra Siddiqui, who has mastered the art of maximum style with minimal effort. She says her summer vibe "has always been easy and comfortable yet polished and chic." I'm constantly at her desk asking where her looks are from, and lately, her answer has been On 34th at Macy's. This is no surprise—the site has tons of chic and affordable finds.
"I like On 34th because it has trusty basics like denim jackets and light sweaters but also trend-forward items like leopard-print flats and ruched poplin skirts," Yusra says. She scrolled through 624 products (all under $150, by the way) and created these three elevated and easy outfits. Keep reading to see the looks she's planning to wear on repeat this summer.
"If I had to pick a favorite, this outfit would be it. A white poplin skirt is something I think everyone needs this season. It looks so elegant and is extremely comfortable. It goes with everything from structured blazers to casual T-shirts. Since the outfit was mostly neutral, I added a pop of red with a sweater tied over my shoulders, which is an easy way to accessorize any outfit." — Yusra Siddiqui, Associate Fashion Editor
"Double denim is an easy outfit formula that will never go out of style in my book. When it comes to classic outfits like this one, I love to add an on-trend accessory. That way, the outfit still feels fresh, but I don't have to buy something I won't wear again. In this case, the leopard flats did the job. I could easily wear them with so many other pieces in my wardrobe, and they made my simple denim outfit more interesting. " — Siddiqui
"I've never owned a pair of cargo pants, but after wearing this white pair, I think I need more. I love to contrast white pieces with black and metallic accessories (it's just the perfect combination), so the black sweater and silver slingbacks were a must. I used to think cargo pants were too casual, but with this pairing, I still felt polished and put-together." — Siddiqui
