7 Fresh Skirt Outfits That Are Getting Me Out of a Winter Jeans Rut
As someone who wears jeans almost everyday (especially throughout winter), there's no doubt that a fresh skirt outfit that is chic, easy to put together, and still provides some warmth, is a welcome breath of fresh air in my daily dressing routine. In an attempt to pull myself out of a current winter jeans rut, I've been saving a whole host of trend-forward skirt outfits that have me truly excited to get dressed in the morning.
Skirts (of all lengths!) are having a major moment right now. From A-line midi silhouettes to chic minis, we spotted a variety of styles all over the spring/summer 2025 runways—something for every body type and taste.
Below, I'm sharing seven skirt outfits I'm loving (and trying) this season that will breathe new life into my looks from winter to spring. Take a peek and shop them for yourself..
This is the perfect skirt outfit for those of us with one foot in winter and the other in spring. The pale icy blue, buttermilk yellow, and ivory hues are perfectly on-trend for the spring season—and feels fresh paired with a soft dark chocolate brown leather jacket.

We love a monochromatic look—especially one that mixes texture and volume. Lean into spring's biggest color trend—powder pink—and pair a lace skirt with an oversize turtleneck. Finish the look with sleek black heels and accessories. (Pink hair, optional).

When you want to look elegant yet remain cozy, try pairing a sleek pale yellow column skirt with a cardigan in trending espresso brown. Long black leather gloves and a contrasting gray knit thrown around your shoulders pulls the look together perfectly.

The ideal outfit for stepping into spring in style—I love the contrast of a satin embellished skirt with a sporty bomber jacket. The snake-print heels are the perfect statement piece to finish the fashion-forward look.
Shop the look:
Give a black leather skirt and jacket a retro-preppy touch and style them with a trend-forward striped polo and buttermilk pumps for an outfit that oozes personality.
Shop the look:
Ethereal, sheer fabrics are trending and one of the coolest ways to lean into the trend is with a pretty skirt. Style one in this season's must-have sky blue hues, and pair with an oversize sweater in the same color family. Mixing textures will keep the look interesting. Complete the pretty look with satin ballet flats and socks.
Shop the look:
A matching gray blazer and skirt set will always look elegant and sophisticated. Give it a fashion-forward touch by belting the blazer at the waist and adding a casual hoodie underneath.
