5 On-Trend Denim Outfits Everyone Is Wearing Right Now

As someone who wears denim as often as possible, I’m always on the hunt for new styles to add to my collection. The qualifications? Stylish, well-fitting, and—as of late—sustainable. Consumers (myself included) have been asking for a more eco-friendly denim industry, and to my delight, one of my favorite French brands, Maje, is committed to the cause. I was originally drawn to Maje’s First Stone denim collection because of the unique pieces that feature fun details like fringe and two-tone washes, but when I found out it was also manufactured using a new stone-wash technique that reduces the water, chemical, and energy resources required for production, I was thrilled. From actual jeans to denim dresses, see how I’ll be styling the on-trend denim collection this fall.
A denim jacket is a wardrobe staple for many reasons, my favorite of which is that it can make a polished look feel a bit cooler. Take this office-friendly printed dress and heeled knee-high boots outfit: When I add the four-pocket, fringe-sleeved topper, the look instantly feels more stylish. Adding trendy accessories like a croc-effect bag, a wide headband, and gold jewelry elevates the look, making it noteworthy.

A denim dress is good on its own, but when you layer it over a turtleneck and underneath a plaid blazer, it's instantly an outfit. To balance out the sophisticated top half of the look, I’m opting for my go-to black combat boots and an everyday leather crossbody bag.

With so many jean styles that feel the same, it’s refreshing to find a pair that feels genuinely fun. This straight-leg pair got my attention immediately with the unexpected bandana detail. Denim worn with sneakers and a white tee is my go-to weekend uniform, but adding an oversize check coat, a bold handbag, and chunky sneakers makes this outfit worthy of a double take.

I typically reserve my denim shorts for summer months and warm-weather vacations, but there’s something daring about styling them for fall. This tailored pair is far from beachy—instead, I’m pairing them with a cozy turtleneck, an oversize cardigan, and an on-trend black bag with Western-inspired fringe details. I opted for loafers and tall socks for that subtle schoolgirl touch.

I wasn’t kidding when I pledged my undying love for denim dresses. They’re so versatile—I wear them with sandals and a straw hat in the summer, and with a cozy coat and ankle boots in the winter. The embellishments make it a standout piece as is, so I kept it simple with a gold necklace and an optional green croc-embossed mini bag.
