This Premium H&M Jumper Is Raking in 5-Star Reviews

I’m going to make a bold claim: I’ve found the best jumper H&M has ever created. Hear me out. Last year, after a traumatic moth outbreak in my wardrobe, I found myself having to mend—if not replace—items in my knitwear collection, which I’d been lovingly cultivating since 2013. Although I’m a fashion editor, I’m pretty picky when it comes to shopping. I’m curvy and petite and know what I like, so it takes a lot to impress me. So when I found myself in the position where I needed to order a couple of new jumpers, I tried to keep an open mind. I made purchases at COS, Arket, Zara, and Other Stories. A few I kept out of necessity—a black roll-neck, although essential, is never going to be the most exciting purchase—but most went back. Then, as luck would have it, I happened upon H&M’s wool jumper.

H&M is one of my favourite places to shop on the high street, but its knitwear? That’s a category I would usually swerve. I like my knitwear as premium as possible. I wear it day in, day out in winter, so it needs to be able to keep up with the demand I place on it. Perhaps it was poor choices on my part, but many of the H&M jumpers I had owned in the past just didn’t make the cut. However, my interest was piqued when I noticed that one particular jumper that had caught my eye was made of wool. Good start. The silhouette was just what I was looking for, too—oversized but with a slightly cropped length that wouldn’t swaddle my short frame. The neckline was perfect, too; a mock neck, which is also an excellent choice if you’re petite. The icing on the cake? It was a mottled-grey colour that went with everything in my wardrobe. Tick, tick, tick. I ordered it, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Fast-forward to last week when, during my weekly—okay, daily—H&M scroll, I realised that my favourite H&M jumper was back! In cream! I quickly messaged a colleague who had also bought H&M’s beige wool jumper, and we both swiftly snapped up the new iteration. The original sold out super quickly, and we weren’t going to let the gorgeous creamy shade slip through our fingertips.

Knowing the backstory, you should understand just how surprised I am that this jumper is still in stock, particularly as it’s raking in five-star reviews from customers who, like me, bought it early, anticipating it would go in a flash. Hand on heart, this might be the best purchase I’ve ever made from H&M. So if you’re looking for a new jumper to see you through the winter, I dare say you can call off the search. I’ve linked it below for you for ease. However, should you want to ensure you’re making the right choice for you, I’ve curated an additional edit of stylish H&M knits below.
