Peak wedding season is just around the corner, which means we're about to witness a slew of different bridal trends coming down aisles around the world. Last month, I interviewed a Barcelona-based designer to get the scoop on what Spanish brides are wearing, and now I'm turning to a different corner of the globe to find out what Israeli brides are gravitating toward. I tapped Sharon Sever, head designer at Galia Lahav, who was kind enough to share his insider knowledge.

"Israeli weddings can go from very traditional and conservative to completely radical and nonconformist," Sever toldBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing . "Galia Lahav wedding gowns speak to all types of brides, taking into consideration that we master in custom designs and in personalization." Overall, Sever says Israeli brides tend to look for statement wedding dresses. Specifically, Sever explains that form-fitting, sheer mermaid dresses as well as floral ballgown silhouettes are two trends that are popular with Israeli brides right now.

As for the former, Sever explains that one of the brand's dresses, in particular, is the perfect embodiment of the trend. "The Estelle gown is a tight-to-body sheer mermaid dress, which is trending for the brides in Israel who want to shine and show their womanly curves," Sever tellsBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing . "This is a wedding gown to impress with, and that is definitely what Israeli brides want!" As for the latter, Sever names two dresses that capture the look. "The Fabiana and GALA 204 are both ballgown silhouettes with 3-D flower appliqués, which are really [a testament to] the innovation of bridal fashion. Both dresses are voluminous and romantic—perfect for the traditional wedding—although they would need a veil and/or a cape to cover any skin showing, as that wouldn't be accepted under the Hupa ceremony."

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
