sneaker comes along every few years that takes over the conversation, dominating the zeitgeist and showing up first, on everyone's wish list, and later, on, well, everyone. In 2023, that sneaker is the Samba by Adidas, an indoor-soccer sneaker that was recently embraced by the fashion community, so much so that its classic colorways—white and black and all black—are more often than not completely sold out. One alternative, a green-and-white pair with gum soles, however, is readily available, at least on sneaker resale sites like StockX. Even better, this pair has Jennifer Lawrence's stamp of approval.

Over the weekend, Lawrence was spotted walking around NYC with her husband Cooke Maroney and their 1-year-old son Cy, wearing a black turtleneck, a navy-blue coat, baggy jeans, and an oversize tote bag from The Row, and the exact sneakers me and all my fashion friends can't stop talking about. Subtle yet eye-catching, her kicks complete the otherwise minimalist, very quiet-luxury ensemble, giving it a touch of color and increased cool factor. Below, shop Lawrence's green Sambas and more beloved sneakers.
