J.Lo Might've Just Worn Her Most Controversial Shoes Yet

Jennifer Lopez probably tries more controversial shoe trends in a month than most of us do in a lifetime. (Remember this Ariana Grande approved style and these dramatic Christian Louboutin boots?) It's quite helpful that a driver is waiting to pick her up curbside every time she steps out the door. That said, we're not sure how she took even 10 steps in the ankle boots she just wore in NYC, as they're a whopping six inches tall with a thick inch-and-quarter platform. I consider anything four inches and up to be quite high, so I can't even fathom spending the day in heels as high as J.Lo's. But let's not forget J.Lo even dances on slippery stages in heels, so I'd say you could call her a professional.

Lopez's ankle boots are by Alaïa and touch on this past winter's hiker boot trend. You could say that the tread soles and the platform on these make them a little more walkable, but it doesn't change the fact that you're basically walking around on your tiptoes. To complete the look, Lopez wore her signature large gold hoops, a white tank top, long fur gilet, and paper-bag-waist black pants. Keep scrolling to see her shoes (in varying heel heights), along with more walkable high-heel hiker boots.
