When you think of Jennifer Lopez, French-girl style probably isn't the first thing to come to mind, but lo and behold, while strolling around Miami over the weekend, Lopez took a cue for the summer wardrobes of French women and wore a shoe trend that they've been pairing with dresses and skirts for years: wedge-heel espadrilles.
Lopez gave the look her own twist and swapped the French girl approved midi dress out for a denim jumpsuit by Alice+Olivia, which the sky-high espadrilles proved to be the perfect complement for. Given that Jeanne Damas already wore espadrilles this year (see below), we'd bet money that the style will continue to be a French-girl summer shoe staple straight through to 2020, and it might even be a new J.Lo summer shoe staple. It's only April, so we shall see.
