Leave it to Kim Kardashian to blow everyone away at one of fashion’s most noteworthy red carpets of the year. Stepping out in a Versace gown, Kardashian certainly made a statement at the 2018 Met Gala. To fit the theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, the style star’s frock drew inspiration from religious symbols and icons. With gold gilding and embellished crosses, it’s fair to say that Kardashian looked angelic and nailed the theme.
Never one to disappoint, we know that Kim has been prepping for the Met Gala for a while now. She even posted on Instagram today reminding everyone of her stunning Vivianne Westwood Met Gala dress from last year. Fair to say, Kardashian West knows how to keep her audience interested. She also posted a photo of her catholic school yearbook picture, as well as a snap of her primping for the event. So needless to say the buildup was big—and we weren’t let down.
Not only did the dress fit Kim's body perfectly, but it was the perfect nod to the theme without being over-the-top. Though we've seen a number of gold gowns on the Met Gala red carpet, Kardashian's simple silhouette and stunning fit is heavenly... Pun intended.
