What to Wear When You're Way Too Lazy to Outfit Plan
Let’s get one thing straight: There’s nothing wrong with being a little lazy when it comes to fashion. Personal style is important to you, but you may love sleeping in more—or scrolling through Instagram for 20 minutes. (We can relate to both.) But there’s a way to put your laid-back behavior to good use, and the 10 outfits ahead are perfect examples.
To get you started, skip the negativity, and instead equate lazy with smart. Amazing style doesn’t have to take all your brainpower. It can be as simple as finding two garments that piece together and feel greater than the sum of its parts. It could mean sticking to one color palette and never wondering Does this match? again.
Go on—take a stroll through the minimal-effort, maximal-results outfits ahead. Then take a break. You deserve it.
What matches better with pink than more pink?
Add a figure-defining belt around the waist of a bright sundress. That’s all.
Jeans, a T-shirt, and boots might be the easiest outfit combination. Simply swap in a printed blouse with a bit of dramatic volume instead and voilà! Instantly more impact with practically no additional effort.
An oversize shirtdress with sneakers will take you less time to get into than finding your keys before running out the door.
Don’t overthink it: A dress and jeans look amazing together and often much cooler than simply choosing one or the other.
Nothing’s quite as lazy as going outside in your pajama shirt, but who cares when it looks this good?
Jumpsuits are the one-piece-outfit wonders every lazy fashion lover needs. Extra points for waistband handbags, because who needs to keep their hands full?
Is it too much work to button your shirt to the top? Just fasten one or two until it’s reached a crop-top length, then pair with high-waisted trousers.
The smartest (and perhaps laziest) move is just to stick to maximalist pieces like this printed, lace-lined dress. Not much else is needed with a statement piece like this.
Lazy dressers can’t be bothered with occasion-specific clothing. Pair a more evening-ready slip dress with some more daytime-appropriate slides for an outfit combination that makes sense for practically anything you have planned.
Ahead check out more lazy dresser approved pieces.
