I've Been a Shopping Expert for 15 Years—I Approve of These 20 New-In Buys
Spring collections have landed, which means we've officially been given the green light to wear some of our new-season fashion favourites. The shops are bursting with new collections, but to spare you from doing the legwork, I've found the best 20 new-in buys you won't want to miss. From high-street hits (such as my favourite new floral suit from Mango) to the cult Chanel logo sandals on everyone's wish lists, here are the hottest pieces that have just landed in stores and online this week.
I've spent the last few days filtering out the hottest new-in pieces so you don't have to (in fact, I've already shared my go-to spring outfits), and instead, you can click through my edit and snap up these perfect pieces before they go, from must-have designer sunnies to key footwear shapes to take your wardrobe through to summer and the new names to know. I apologise in advance, as you are going to want it all! Happy shopping!
Shop my favourite new-in pieces:
Mango is nailing it this season. They seem to have found the perfect balance of fun new season trends with grown-up wearability. This suit is so great for spring, whether you are looking for stylish workwear or an alternative evening look.
When we talk about animal print we often refer to it as a new neutral. It's a print but it kind of blends in seamlessly with most outfits. Logo heels do the same thing, especially in this colourway. These may have embellished GG logos all over them, but they'll work with everything from your favourite jeans to even a printed dress.
I'm such a magpie when it comes to sunglasses. I always have an everyday black pair I wear to death but love adding interest to outfits with colourful shades, especially on holiday.
Mother of Pearl name necklaces have become one of this season's most popular jewellery trends. I first spotted these mother of pearl necklaces on Instagram and discovered a whole host of other independent jewellery designers on Etsy making similar styles at really affordable prices.
A linen-shirt and-shorts co-ord is an easy summer dressing staple to have in your wardrobe and requires minimal styling. Just add your favourite everyday sandals.
Nautical prints arent exactly groundbreaking for summer, but the colour palette of this dress by Aussie label Alémais gives this classic print a youthful feel. It's a bit more of an investment but this is definitely a dress you won't regret buying.
Gladiator sandals instantly transform even the most ordinary of dresses and give them some new-season pizzazz.
Wedding season is upon us and British label Sister Jane is always my favourite for affordable occasionwear you will wear time and time again. This brocade dress has mega prairie vibes and I love it.
This top from Cult Gaia speaks for itself really, so it's time to start buffing and moisturising as this is a guaranteed head-turner.
I've had several iterations of this dress over the years. The ruffle detail is incredibly flattering, especially on a pear-shaped body like mine, and despite being pretty mini, I love how covered it up across the chest. It makes it all the more wearable for daytime too.
Is it even summer without a classic basket bag!? I love how fresh the white detailing on this bag will make most outfits feel, and for £29.50, it's such a steal.
Now, these mules might not jump out at you in store but they are such a useful summer heel. Aside from being a great height to walk in, the square toe is very OTM (of the moment) whilst the fabric outer lining means they're super comfy too.
I tend to have a tighter edit of outwear at this time of the year and a classic trench is usually my go-to coverup. From floral midi dresses to a tailored trouser and shirt combo, this trench from London-based Marcela London will guarantee cost per wear.
This bright straw clutch from ASOS is an affordable way to elevate a daytime look to take you from your desk to the dancefloor.
I'm rarely seen without a pair of earrings whether it's day or night—in particular, hoops. I tend to spend my money on pieces that I can wear every day but that also have a little "wow factor" to them. These emerald stones are the most beautiful shade of green and they’re the perfect size between mini and maxi.
This sequinned dress has become a signature style for Warehouse that it is reissuing it every season in new colours. This blue will look mega for sundown drinks with your friends, for hen dos and is perfect for a glitz-filled Ibiza wardrobe.
I'm always on the hunt for timeless printed dresses and Canada-based Ofuure has some of my favourites. Featuring beautiful African prints, his one is at the top of my new season wish list.
I get the impression these sandals may be a bit like marmite. They remind me of my favourite shoes back in the late nineties and would be perfect on holiday or even as a great everyday sandal in the city if you prefer a bit of height. PVC mules are the best, as they are practically invisible and really elongate your legs.
This style of dress never fails to be one of the hardest working pieces in my wardrobe. The hem is modest so it's easy to run around in, the 3/4 sleeves mean you most likely won't need a jacket and the belted waistline will accentuate your waist. Are you sold?
Next up, the best spring dresses on the high street.
