I Live in L.A.—These Are the 6 Spring Trends That Are Everywhere Right Now
All cities have their own interpretation of Wholesale Replica Bag fashion and it’s always interesting to see how that unfolds each season. In the past, I lived in NYC and Paris, so learned a lot about layering and polished style while spending time in those places. Now that I’m based in L.A., I’m steeped in the fashion here and how the spring trends are impacting what everyone is wearing right now.
As a whole, style in L.A. is on the casual side, so it’s one of the best places to see how people are wearing low-key basics like jeans and leggings in cool, directional ways. A lot of the trend-forward looks incorporate updated silhouettes and of-the-moment styling. Here, I’m breaking down six Los Angeles spring trends that are already huge in 2022. Consider these your cool wardrobe staple updates for the season ahead.
Loose Jeans
You can't walk outside in L.A. without seeing denim and there is always a new take on jeans that are trending. Right now, loose silhouettes are absolutely everywhere. Waistlines are also getting lower, so add a pair of mid-rise jeans to your closet to really tap into the look.
Vintage-Inspired Leather Jackets
Yep, leather jackets are trending hard this spring. Specifically, we're seeing looser-fitting styles that feel more relaxed than the pieces that were popular a few years back. I'm also noticing an uptick in distressed, vintage-inspired pieces that look lived-in.
You'll definitely want to head to the men's section for this look.
Throwback Sneakers
While retro sneakers started to become popular last year, they are bigger than ever. Especially in L.A., where there is such a huge sneaker culture. If you drive down Fairfax Avenue, you'll notice long lines down the sidewalks of everyone waiting to get their hands on Wholesale Replica Bag sneakers drops. I'm guessing most people are walking out with throwback styles because those are what are all over the streets.
You'll be lucky if you can still find a pair left in your size.
Cropped Workout Sets
I just started going to workout classes again and there is a definite uniform for everyone walking into the gym, which involves a cropped workout set, tube socks, and hair claws. Set Active's matching tops and pants are particularly popular, so if you want to tap into the L.A. aesthetic, that is the place to start.
Baseball Caps
Baseball caps are another current must-buy piece that add a sporty element to any look. Whether paired with one of the workout sets above or with jeans and a sweater, you can't go wrong.
Sporty Sunglasses
Rounding out the L.A. spring shopping edit is yet another sporty fashion item: wraparound sunglasses. The accessory has been everywhere on the runways and is now a fashion insider favorite for pushing a look forward.
These Bottega Veneta shades helped start it all.
