Margot Robbie Wore the Denim Trend I'd Give Up Skinny Jeans For

An A-list actress, an editor, and a supermodel are all in agreement: High-waisted baggy jeans deserve a spot in your closet. While skinny jeans will always remain a classic, I'm personally excited to test out the less constricting denim trend in 2019—and Margot Robbie is way ahead of me.

Photographed in New York City, the Mary Queen of Scots star wore anti skinny jeans with another major trend we've been talking about ad nauseam: cardigans. (Don't worry—yours doesn't have to be Chanel like Robbie's color-block version.) Her cropped, wide-leg jeans are a fresh alternative to your go-to skinnies and straight-leg styles. She completed the look with a Chanel chain-strap bag and Alumnae NYC strappy heels—which, in all honesty, aren't the winter-friendliest shoes, but we'll just assume she only wore them while heading straight for the car. Ready to take it for a spin? Scroll down to see Margot Robbie's new outfit and to shop similar wide-leg jeans for yourself.

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
