Trust Me—These Marks and Spencer Summer Buys Look So Expensive

As a shopping editor, I always find that I go to certain brands for certain items of clothing. For example, Arket has always been my go-to for a classic white tee or a tailored blazer, Other Stories is a safe bet for underwear and swimwear and Topshop (RIP) is a denim fail-safe. Marks and Spencer, while undeniably strong in all the above categories, has always been a particularly winning destination for summer linen.

Clean lined, versatile and with a great balance of neutrals alongside pops of colour, the brand's linen offering has always felt so timeless. As someone who struggles with dresses, I have been particularly drawn to the tailored pieces on offer, such as boxy short-sleeved shirts and wide-leg trousers. They're all I want to wear on summer holidays. (Remember those?) All they need is big sunnies, chunky sandals and maybe a gold hoop and you're good to go.

While the weather isn't looking particularly balmy right now, we're under good authority that June will finally yield some sunshine, so it's time to start unpacking your warm-weather staples. Luckily, M&S's summer 2021 linen selection is looking as good as ever. From pea-green shift dresses and colour-pop pink suits to classic shirts and waist-tie shorts, there's certainly something for everyone here. I've done the hard work for you and put together my favourite linen pieces that you can buy now. Scroll down to see and shop my edit.
