To say that I have a thing for Bella and Gigi Hadid’s style would be an understatement. The camera roll on my phone could pretty much pass for a fan account at this point. It’s littered with screenshots of the models’ outfits—a collection of all the amazing street style looks, Gigi’s new By Far bags, and don’t even get me started on that bubblegum pink vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress Bella wore in Paris last month. And there is one very talented woman the Hadids call on before leaving the house or stepping on the red carpet: Meet Mimi Cuttrell.

The New York stylist is a curator of cool, and the moment she dresses her celeb clients, the world takes notice. I caught up with her recently to get her take on what’s cool in fashion right now. Interested in what’s on her radar, I wanted to find out the pieces I should be adding to my wardrobe now. Ahead, see six trends celebrity stylist Mimi Cuttrell is endorsing and shop the pieces to add to your closet.

COWBOY BOOTS

“I love how cowboy boots can transform a simple look. Pair them with a simple tee and jeans or with a dress.”

"MEN'S" SNEAKERS

“I find myself in the men’s section of Opening Ceremony a little too often. Wearing a men’s sneaker is unexpected, which makes it fun.”

A GOOD VINTAGE BAG

“I text with the team at Treasures NYC almost more than I do with my family (and I talk to my parents at least three times a day, each). A vintage bag can be your own unique statement, and being on the hunt to find the right one can be thrilling. I often find them more charming than new bags because I like to think of the stories behind them.”

A CLASSIC CARDIGAN

“The easiest and most timeless piece you could add to your closet and keep! You can pair with almost anything—jeans, a fitted pant, plaid. You can even wear it out braless for a sexier, more daring look.”

COCKTAIL RINGS

“For years, I’ve always stacked rings on my fingers. This addiction has developed into a love for stacking big, big rings. One or two on each finger.”

F.U.F.C. PIECES

“Relaxed, effortless, cool, everyday wear. I’m fairly sure I own all of their pieces now (if my ‘fucked-up friends’ haven’t already taken them from me).”
